After a most successful recruitment campaign, which attracted 110 applicants, the museum is pleased to announce that Jane Woods and Sadie Wyatt were selected for the posts of museum and retail assistant. We are delighted that Jane and Sadie have joined the team. They bring a huge amount of experience to the museum.

Jane Woods

Jane has had a varied career, most recently as an estate agent, which contained elements of marketing, sales, lettings and administration. Previous roles have included assistant shop manager, sales assistant, customer service, administration, receptist and clerical officer.

We discovered at interview that Jane is a keen glass collector. She described joining the museum as an "amazing opportunity."

Sadie Wyatt

Sadie brings a wealth of experience in the retail, charity and heritage sectors. Sadie was the founder of Art Space Gallery and Printmakers Gallery, both in Cornwall, which she managed over a period of nine years. After moving to the Isle of Wight Sadie worked at Osborne House and The Wight Military History Museum as well as for British Heart Foundation and Caring for Cancer Trust.

Almost immediately after joining the team Sadie contributed excellent ideas about the new shop at the museum, particularly concerning layout and design. The result speaks for itself. It is a pleasant and welcoming space.

The museum is fortunate to have attracted such excellent candidates as Jane and Sadie. We look forward to working with them.

Anton Doroszenko
Museum Director
