Have you ever fancied running a museum and be surrounded by the most amazing glass every working day? Could you share your enthusiasm with visitors who are eager to see what is on show? Well now is your chance! Isle of Wight Glass Museum and Isle of Wight Studio Glass are jointly recruiting a Museum Coordinator/Studio Retail Coordinator and a Museum Assistant/Studio Retail Assistant. The museum and studio have separate management and ownership, but will share some staff, making for a varied and interesting combination of tasks and responsibilities.

Isle of Wight Studio Glass has been established at Arreton Barns Craft Village since 2014 and will be joined in March 2016 by Isle of Wight Glass Museum, which will occupy adjacent and interconnected premises.

Both the museum and the retail area of the studio will open between 10 AM and 4 PM for seven days each week during most of the year, and two part-time posts - a coordinator and an assistant - are required to staff the museum and the studio. It is envisaged that the successful applicants will mostly work opposite each other, devoting approximately half their time to duties specified by Isle of Wight Studio Glass and half to duties specified by Isle of Wight Glass Museum.

For the sake of clarity, the two components of the job – museum and studio – have been itemized separately in the job descriptions.
